Recently I helped a player with some advice on how to increase their framerate & what'll be best to upgrade first (Graphic card or CPU/Motherboard) & it got me wondering what PC specifications the players are currently using to Play Minecraft - or any other games for that matter

So in case you don't know your PC specs then I suggest you either google for a 'PC SPECIFICATION' program.
My current favorite is 'Speccy (portable)' since you just need to unzip it & run.. no need to install it

Alternatively you could pop along to websites like www.systemrequirementslab.com which give some of the details Speccy does (what it doesn't show is Motherboard info)

    I'll kick off the thread:-

My PC was brought August 2014 & cost me ~£800 [£817 to be exact] just for the PC Base (no Hardware)
    - I found the old receipt so that's how I know this info ;).

    The Specs are (using 'Speccy'):-
    Operating System:
    Windows 8.1 64-bit
    CPU:
    Intel Core i7 4790K @ 4.00GHz [Haswell 22nm Technology]
    RAM:
    16.0GB Dual-Channel DDR3 @ 799MHz (11-11-11-28)
    Motherboard:
Gigabyte Technology Co. Ltd. Z97P-D3 (SOCKET 0)
    Graphicscard:
2047MB NVIDIA GeForce GTX 760 (ZOTAC International)
    Storage:
    111GB KINGSTON SV300S37A120G (SSD)
    931GB Seagate ST1000DM003-1ER162 (SATA)
    Optical Drives:
    TSSTcorp CDDVDW SH-224DB
    Audio:
    Realtek High Definition Audio (Onboard)

I also used the 'Can You Run It?' webpage to test some of the ''Most demanding games'.
The list included 'Hitman', 'Battlefield 1', 'Far Cry Primal', 'The Division' & 'Deux Ex Mankind Divided'

Most of the time it came up OK on Minimum but NOK for 'Recommended'
    - in most cases it just suggested upgrading the Graphics card to get there,
so personally I think my PC was a little OP way back in 2014 if it can handle this stuff now

So what is everyone else using ??

lol yeah like joker, Im just running a laptop.
It seems to be so crappy that speccy causes it to slow to a crawl and no longer respond so I had to preform a hard restart ...

    systemrequirementlab gives the fallowing
    Processor - Intel(R) Celeron(R) CPU N2830 @ 2.16GHz
Video Card - Intel(R) HD Graphics
    RAM - 4.0 GB
    Operating System - Microsoft Windows 8.1 (build 9600), 64-bit

I use the can I run it website a lot however it always tells me my laptop does not meet the minimum requirements. According to the website I can not run minecraft and its been running minecraft since before my husband got a new laptop so i was able to get his old one so... lol
However it barely runs minecraft, so if I want to play anything else *fallout 4, skyrim, titanfall 2, etc* I just use my ps3 or ps4.

    Operating System:
Ubuntu 16.10 / Windows 10 Enterprise (Dual Boot)
    CPU:
Intel Pentium G3258 @ 4.6 GHz (i7 performance on single threaded apps d:)b)
    RAM:
8GB Dual-Channel DDR3 (who cares about ram clock speed)
    Motherboard:
    A cheap asus one
    GPU:
ain't got one (who is this madman)
    Storage:
that cheap 1TB WD HDD everyone buys and a bad generic 50GB Toshiba HDD I pulled out of a laptop to put my Windows partition on.
    Optical Drives:
    lol
    Audio:
    lol

I also use a Logitech G502 mouse and a G710 keyboard (G710, not G710+, I'm the type of monster that uses blue switches). Oh and a cheap Acer IPS 1080p monitor I have overclocked to 75hz.

Everything I play runs like crud on Windows. For example I can play Overwatch at 720p low and I just squeeze 30fps.

On Linux I don't really have any issues, I can run Skyrim through WINE at 1080p low and get 60 fps average and Minecraft runs at 75 fps never really dipping below 60 with all the fancy settings. I can't do shaders though. FeelsBadMan.
